6 eminent personalities receive Bogura writers’ circle award (video)

Six eminent personalities have been awarded Bogura Lekhak Chakra (Bogra Writers’ Circle) for their positive role in Bangla language, literature and journalism.

Awards winners were honoured on November (November 28) at the last day of two-day long poet conference in Bogura district.

The awardees are–Shamim Reza, (Poetry), Akmal Hossain Nipu (Fiction), Mohammad Nurul Haque (Essay), Shamim Rafiq (Research), Editor of ‘Lyric’ in Little Magazine Ejaj Yusufi and J M Rauf (Journalism).

Meanwhile, Bajlul Karim Bahar, advisor of Bogura writers’ circle award handed over the sash, bags, crest and certificates among winners. Poet Mujahid Ahmed received the award of fiction writer Akmal Hossain Nipu due to his absence.

Poet Farid Ahmed Dulal, Shoeb Shahriar, Kobikunja general secretary Ariful Haque Kumar, Bogura Lekhak Chakra advisor litterateur Advocate Polash Khandakar and general secretary poet Kamrun Nahar Kuheli attended the function. Artist Alok Paul administrated the program.

Earlier, a seminal on Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu titled ‘Bangabandhu in literature’ took place there. Poet Mamun Rashid presented main article in the function. Fiction writer Shajahan Sakidar presided over the program where Kamrul Bahar Arif, Gazi Latif, Tapan Bagchi, Moni Haydar and Rahel Razib joined.
