Freedom of thought is linked to its discipline too. But, most of the thinkers don’t want to keep it in their mind. They don’t recognize the minimum discipline comparably to their demand of freedom of expression. May be they don’t want to think about the issue. Most probably that’s why they become anxious to publish the thoughts instantly when something emerges in their mind. They don’t consider the post reaction of it in society.
It will not be exaggerated that the dignity of a person in society is scaled mainly by the criteria of money, secondly use of power. There is no difference of it in village or town. The picture is same everywhere. The moneyed man is respected always. However, ethical people said, “Earning knowledge is better than earning money.” Actually, the value of knowledge was less in earlier society too. Money helped to earn knowledge side by side power doing commercial deal.
Bertrand Russell had thought about the human instinct, the instrument of happiness and causes of happiness than another philosophers. At the same time, he had his own philosophy regarding the solutions of these causes. However, he was encouraged in these philosophies after reading the works of earlier philosophers and writers. Philosophy is not the practice of a wilful person like basic literature- the thoughts of earlier philosophers keyed the incumbent philosophers. Even, the thoughts of the persons is provoked. And then, the incumbent philosophers find new line of thoughts and start a sign of thought too.
Russell not only thought the issue of enjoying happiness but also he received it on the basis of socio-economic-political- moral-religious-physical compatibility. He showed it to the mankind discussing barriers and helpful features on the way to enjoying happiness. It is clear that happiness and sorrow are not the ultimate inevitable truth of human life as none of them are not true in human life for eternity. It is depend on each other like the acceptance-release and cope with nature of human. Own realization inside the person is needed for it. That means – realization should be formed inside the mind on the context of either happiness or sorrow. Otherwise, the person will not be able to understand the difference between happiness and sorrow. An unrest will prevail in him always. If the person cannot fix his mind, he will not be happy even if he has a thousand means of enjoyment. That’s why there is a big condition. That is – moderation of emotion-desire-behavior. In the end, only a sense of moderation can make people happy. He has to do some tasks and has to leave some tasks. The main matter is – the person will have to devote himself in collective thinking leaving individualism. Self-abnegation is needed in lieu of narcissism. However, this pursuit is not asceticism, it will be worldly.
Education will show people to the way of happy-tasteful life. But, if the education is become a certificate to earn money then the aim of real education will be deviated and people will not be happy. However, most of the people took education as a medium of getting job. As a result, a tendency to contest is created among people from his/her early education life. Bertrand Russell opined that the quality of life has fallen for giving priority of contest in this era of modern time. The ability to enjoy subtle emotions among men-women is diminishing day by day. And people are being turning into a money machine ultimately. Emotion, feelings are being decreased. Eventually, sincerity is not seen now among the people of society-family. Artificial or non-natural relation prevails. According to Russell’s opinion, tasks should be done through enjoyment not to beat or crossing anyone. A fit person actually do that but a sick man needs contest. Work don’t give us happiness rather the realization of work give happiness or sorrow. Too much thinking make us laden. If we want to become happy, we have to build a world of happiness decorating it with ingredients of happiness. That’s the only way of happiness. Or else, life will seem to us like a phenomenon of infinitive sorrow.
After getting the dignity, his demand can be established gradually according to his desire.
The only reason of Russell’s issue is taken here because people’s happiness is also associated with the realization of their social status. People with social status are generally happy. But, the person who doesn’t get value, can’t feel the happiness in his mind. People need to create discipline in mind if they want to get social value. Before that, they have to provide emphasize on the causation of it. He/she has to understand that their social status is depending on their discipline of thought. However, it is not that thought which is still unexposed in human society. That thought, which is promoted in the society and its effect is prevailed at least on a particular section of the society.
If the thinker said, money is the only reason of all trouble. Then, he/she would get praise of a section of people of the society. But, the minor section who possess vast amount of wealth of the society will take the speech negatively. So, the thinkers have to keep it mind that way of earning can be blamed but it is not easy to deny it.
Malevolent persons blame wealth. Besides, it’s is not the task of thinkers to produce investigation report of the earning way of wealth. His main task is – creating an awareness in the society so that way of earning wealth go on the basis of justice. Even, it is not safe to start probe to know the rich person’s way of spending their money. Rather, the thinker can attract them to show the better way to spend their money for the betterment of society. A wise social thinkers should not try to teach any wealthy person about sin or virtue. The thinker should keep it mind that a knowledge will find the person who has wealth. Fools can’t become owner of huge amount of wealth. It is not possible to become rich if anyone doesn’t have wit and good luck of successor. Fool never can gain those qualities.
Wise social thinkers never infect the society by sudden-revolutionary thinking. He need to think deeply about the conventional customs of society. Even, he doesn’t say anything directly if the society needs any change. Though, they try to convince wealthy and key persons of society comparing situations of past with existing times. As a result, a scope of discussion is created again and again over the issue. And then, youths of society feel interest on that issue. Rich and society influencers start to move forward gradually sensing the change among youths. Only then, a change is created in society. The theory of thinkers don’t bring change in society overnight rather it brings indiscipline if any proposal is brought against conventional customs or against any key persons of the society.
That’s why the thinkers need to keep it mind – the survival is depended on the theory-truth of thinkers. So, there should be discipline in thoughts-imagination as well as logic in it on the basis of society. Only then, his dignity be established in the society. After getting the dignity, his demand can be established gradually according to his desire.
