Two Poems by Aadwayto Marout

The Dark Funs
The dark sounds following evening
I lose my path, I lose myself
They pull me and take me to a wasteland
Some bite my eyes and some take my teeth
Some reach a pact with me
Bats are witness, they enjoy the funs . . .

I live all alone
All alone, I see this morning
All those indications
Awake me from sleep, I live alone
Burning sun tender age
Through the windows embraces the winds
The eyes in the fire, the Titi bird
Repeating sounds of shaking stair
I wish far away – who goes
So humorous, embracing
I live all alone.
