A total of nine people including Chintasutra\u2019s associate editor Salah Uddin Mahmud have been awarded the \u201cAbulMonsur Ahmad Essay Contest\u201d award.<\/p>\n
The award giving ceremony was held at The Daily Star Centre on Sunday. The award was given in three categories<\/p>\n
The first prize winner got Tk 10,000. The second prize wasTk 5,000 and the third prize was a set of books written by Abul Mansur Ahmad. Apart from, every winner was also given a crest and a certificate.<\/p>\n
Salah Uddin got the third prize in the topic of anti-establishment ideas in Abul Mansur Ahmad\u2019s short stories. Binoy Dutta secured the first place and IfratJahan secured the second place.<\/p>\n
JubaerShaon, NewazFerdousRochi and GaziAbdur Rahimsecured first place, second place and third place respectively in the topic of Abul Mansur Ahmad\u2019s thoughts on politics and nationalist perspective.<\/p>\n
BangaRakhal, Shirin Sultana and MdBillalHossen were given the award in the topic of contribution and relevance of Abul Mansur Ahmad in societal change.<\/p>\n
Professor Chengis Khan and Journalist Kajal Rashid Shahin handed over the awards to the winners.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Professor Biswajit Ghosh, Vice Chancellor of Rabindra University, announced the result of the contest through Facbook live.<\/p>\n
